IT Automation

  • Category: Enterprise
  • Client: STC, KSA, GS, Egypt
  • Duration: July 2018 - December 2020 (2.5 Years)
  • Role: Development Lead
  • Stack: .NET Core, RPA, Digital Transformation, BPM
  • Summary:

As the Development Lead, I spearheaded the IT Automation project spanning STC in KSA and GS in Egypt over 2.5 years.
This initiative focused on automating common tasks across different systems by implementing a middleware layer, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
For complex tasks, an orchestrator or Business Process Management (BPM) system was employed to streamline processes.

Project Details

In my capacity as the Development Lead for the IT Automation project, I orchestrated the implementation of a middleware layer to automate routine tasks across disparate systems for STC in KSA and GS in Egypt.

Key details of this endeavor include:

  • Middleware Implementation: Developed and deployed a middleware layer to serve as the bridge between various systems, facilitating seamless data exchange and task automation.
  • Task Automation: Identified common tasks and processes across different systems and automated them using the middleware layer, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
  • Orchestration and BPM: For complex tasks that required coordination across multiple systems or involved intricate workflows, an orchestrator or BPM system was utilized to streamline processes and ensure efficient execution.
  • Integration with Existing Systems: Integrated the middleware layer with existing systems and applications within the client organizations, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with the existing IT infrastructure.
  • Customization and Scalability: Designed the IT automation solutions to be customizable and scalable, allowing for easy adaptation to evolving business requirements and accommodating future growth and expansion.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implemented monitoring and optimization mechanisms to track the performance of automated tasks, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and make continuous improvements to the automation processes.

  • The IT Automation project represents a significant advancement in streamlining operations and improving efficiency for STC and GS, enabling them to leverage automation technologies to optimize their IT workflows and enhance productivity.
By automating common tasks and orchestrating complex processes, the project has contributed to cost savings, reduced errors, and improved overall business agility for the client organizations.
